Paddle Shifters

I occasionally find myself wanting to use the paddle shifters on my V6 when in Sport Mode, but often find the paddles to be pretty small, especially when you have the steering wheel turned and need to shift. Anyone know of any aftermarket extended paddle shifters that work? If there aren't any out yet, maybe some manufacturer will come across this thread and make some extended ones similar to what they make for BMW like this AutoTecknic Competition Steering Shift Levers (Paddles) - BMW F80 M3 | F82 M4 | F10 M5 | F06/ F12/ F13 M6

I would buy them if someone made them since I use Sport+ and the paddles quite often. I do wish the paddle shifters is on the steering wheel stalk instead ala Ferrari/GTR.

The trick is to shift before turning or during the turn but before you have to take your hand off the paddle

oh I miss my 2001 Acura TL with the gearshifter to use to change the gears. The paddle shifting does not do justice in my opinion.

I've got a 05 RL with paddle shifters, and just had a loaner TLX yesterday. Both cars have the (small) paddles attached to the steering wheel, which makes them difficult to use in real life. My wife has a Mitsubishi Outlander which has larger paddles attached to the steering column. I prefer these paddles because their location doesn't change as the steering wheel turns. You just reach out, and they are there. The paddle shifters don't seem as effective on the TLX as they are on the RL though because the RL only has a 5 speed transmission, so a up or down shift has a more noticeable response. On my RL, I often use the paddles to downshift approaching a traffic light. When I tried to do this on the TLX, I kept clicking to downshift with no transmission braking until I was almost at the lights. The TLX wasn't bad, but I think I'll keep my RL for a few more years.
