Ostructuig Front Sensor Camera

I have a device for entering the garage at work that is about 6" x 3" and I have attached it to previous cars using a supplied set of Velcro strips with sticky backs right below the rear view mirror. I have read the manual (Page 351) which warns about placing anything on the windshield in front of this camera or on the top of the instrument. I am wondering if it is safe to place my device on the windshield behind the mirror but below the camera.

It should be fine. I have my 407 toll road responder to the right of that area so that it is not visible from the drivers seat. Everything seems fine. I believe that the camera is located in that cluster and not in the rear view mirror, so the only obstruction possible would be from the outside.

The tolltag I use is a sticker and it's right below the rearview mirror. I haven't noticed any mayhem as a result of it yet.

If it is like the Honda, you can see the camera lens from the outside in the top middle of the windshield. You'd have to put something on the outside of the windshield to obstruct the camera.

I have a toll tag on my windshield with no problems.
