And seeing them on the car makes them look not as good actually. Too busy.

Someone posted a couple of pics in one of these threads that included a black SH-AWD, and it appeared to have these wheels. Very nice looking.

It is any time the car is stopped completely using brake pedal (i.e. stop sign, red light), regardless of any incline. Once you take your foot off the brake, there is no movement of the car whatsoever. It will only move again when you press on the accelerator. It took a few minutes to get used to but I think I like the feature, especially for city driving.

^ weird, I think they have their specs wrong. they show the diamond cuts listed as 18" instead of 19". makes me think these new ones are also wrong on their site and they are indeed 18" instead of 17".

I4/Tech from this thread...

V6 / Tech (I think) from NeuronBob...

The back of the drivers seat on the V6 is a little more refined.

So, having read the MotorTrend and Car&Driver reviews this morning, I'm not sure why I didn't feel more excited about the TLX after my experience the other day. Maybe it was too much anticipation. It sounds like they were impressed, especially with the 4-cylinder!

isn't this similar to the 4G where the bolsters were more snug/aggressive on the shawd models

They likely drove the car for much more than just 8-10 miles and were not stuck in heave traffic like you were.

Considering that the looks is not flashy and the power not out of this world, you'd probably need more time to notice and enjoy the more subtle qualities of the car.

Looking at the pictures it seems they've taken a bit of legroom out of the back seat. Did you feel cramped when you sat back there?

No, I actually didn't. I am 5'9" and there was plenty of leg room. I made sure to leave the driver seat in a comfortable position from when I had done the test drive. I had the salesman take the picture of me in the back seat to help demonstrate the "tandem space," as they called it on one of the Acura videos.

I'm pondering this too, the TXS was cute(Sorry TSX owners), the TL aggressive (before MMC)...I read somewhere they said this was not a merger between the two but an upgrade from the 4G. IMO the jury is still out. It just doesn't knocks my socks off. Perhaps they toned it down so much from the prototype...

The headlights are the major turn off for me. Maybe they'll grow on me in 2-3 years.

The DRLs aren't my favorite, but they are amazing at night.

A few comments:

- "The RLX is garbage"?!?!? Seriously??? Mine certainly isn't!

- My RLX doesn't have any delay or pause when accelerating from a stop. None at all. If yours does, Holografique, I'd get it checked.

- The Brake Hold feature is in my opinion the best thing to come along in years. I had it on a Lexus LS460, and was delighted to see it on the RLX. I use it all the time, and I'd hate to have a car without it.

- The Brake Hold feature does NOT introduce any delays or pauses in accelerating from a stop. The transition from stopped to moving is absolutely seamless.

- I see a lot of RLX features in the new TLX - for instance, the steering wheel and its controls are lifted straight from the RLX, the Brake Hold feature is the same, as is the backup camera, so TLX owners get $55,000 features on their $36k cars.

I think moving "down" to a TLX when my RLX lease is up won't be too painful!
