Also, Ford sells the GT350 mustang these days with a 5.0L v8 that produces 526hp. What's your argument against that engine?
The argument of max hp / litre or hp / # cylinder is pointless Don't care.

First off let me say that our 15 TLX I4 w/ Tech is my wife's car (I drive a 17 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Limited). For most of the past 1.5 years that we have the car I drove it very little as my wife didn't want me driving it. However, in the past 1-2 months I have driven it more often so as to even up the mileage on my car with hers. In a year & a half she only put on about 6K miles (now in the mid 7K's. Her first oil change was at 4K after a year). Since I got mine in Aug 2016, I put on almost that much as a DD & since my car is leased I wanted to keep some of the mileage down. Last Sat. we took the car to Acura to have the DCT serviced as it's been acting not so great. During our discussion with the service mgr I let it be known that I preferred our previous 2010 TSX to the TLX. My wife was shocked, but the service mgr wasn't. He said a lot of other TLX owners felt the same way. Since we had been discussing how many Acuras we've had, he asked me what my favorite Acura was. I said either the 94 Legend we had or the 02 TL Type S we had, leaning toward the TL Type S even though we had the tranny replaced. When we traded the TSX it had only turned 40K a short time before. Should have kept that car longer.

The 2.0Toy owner wrote that a V6 290HP was stupid. I responded to him (not you) that it was common (with examples), certainly not that HP/L has to be this or has to be that. If you mind your own business, then I won't have to dot the i's and cross the t's just for you as, fatally, you seem to never understand the first time.

Remind me why a 4 cyc sucks exactly? If it's able to get over 300hp, sounds decent, and gets great gas mileage then it deserves a place in a 45k car. Acura's own V6 does not get 300hp, so meh. And don't tell me it sounds like a sports car, not even close. Need new muffler, like the ATLP I had on my TL.

So if HP/L is not important, neither is a V6. You don't like turbos .. future may not light bright for you as changes keep on coming to engines.

At this point, I feel like anything short of a V8 NA engine leads to the question "Gee, I wonder what they could have done with a turbo?". It's a reasonably easy enhancement with crazy results.

The same admonition to you as well. You could have responded without the personal insult.

Certainly not. Those 4-cyl. turbo are always inferior in feel than the 6 they replace.

Best evidence is the 718 Boxster. About every single review I read regrets the old 6; it made the car feel special with a great aural experience..

I absolutely loved my M54 I6 184HP manual E46. The visceral sound was 50% of the driving experience. Again it felt special. Now a decade forward, a BMW 240HP 4-cyl. feels like it is an engine from a damn Camry. Those 2.0Toys are dull engines when you have known better. Yeah they suck big time in that category.

And icing on the cake, I find it fascinating that more powerful IS and Q50 2.0T don't do any better than a TLX 2.4, neither in real life acceleration or fuel economy. Pathetic.

For every debatable topic, there are always at least two sides. There's nothing wrong with your logic, however, I suspect you are in a small group, and a group that continues to get smaller as turbos get better and better.

For those who like to modify their cars, there's no replacement for forced induction. Nothing else can come close, unless you put a 6.0L V8 in, instead.
