Does Acura do multiple security deposits on leases?
Question for those in the know:
I know the last thing you should do is put money down on a lease, but one of the techniques available through BMW is using Multiple Security Deposits. For example, BMW allows you to put down up to 7 MSDs for a lease. Not only does that lower the monthly payment but it also lowers the money factor, thus lowering the overall cost of the lease. It's technically not putting money "down," in other words.
I'm sure many on this forum are aware of how that works but I don't see much talk about negotiating lease deals on here. Considering the car I'd be looking at (I4 w/ tech, 15k miles) doesn't have a lease special I figure it would help to learn as much about Acura's leasing program as possible. BMW forums do a great job breaking it down.
However, based on what everyone says about Acura resale value, leasing may not be the smartest move anyway. But ever since I became an investing enthusiast, it's become hard for me to even consider adding debt or raising money in a low interest account.
Anyway, does such a program exist through Acura?

Not that I am aware of, I wish they did because it's a better way to reduce your payment than a cap cost reduction because you get the security deposits back at lease end.
A friend of mine has been doing this for years with BMW and has always worked good for him.
It also depends on the state you live in. Some states won't allow multiple security deposits and some do...

If Acura does allow MSD's, then you would be wise to take advantage of them. Based on the money factor that was reported on another thread (.00135 or 3.24%) you will need them!
