Hey everyone, anyone notice that some road surfaces you drive on cause more vibration in the steering wheel? Yesterday was heading back from the Catskills and I notice there was a shimmy in my steering wheel, after hitting the 87 the shimmy was completely gone car was smooth. very weird

 

I ran into to this a few months ago on a newly paved asphalt road.

 

Only thing I can think of, is that the tire PSI, is not equal on all 4 wheels
I keep my pressure at 35PSI, in Winter, because of PSI loss in cold weather
In Summer, it's back to 32PSI, because of the opposite taking place
I doubt your alignment is faulty, because after 20 years, & 7 Acura's, I've NEVER had one alignment in NYC!
Bad wheel bearing, or bent rim? Maybe; probably not
Usually, between 55-65, is when you'll feel vibration

 

Had a front wheel bearing replaced. Unless its totally shot you wouldn't get any vibration. Instead you will get an odd noise at specific speed ranges and often turning left or right it will go away (if you steer to the left and it quiets down the problem is on the right.

 

its a weird issue, some roads this thing is so smooooooth and some it feels like a wheel is out of balance. I hope with the next release TLX the iron out all these issue, on a side not i did great on gas full tank going to NJ, upstate and back i got 424 miles with 50 left to spare. all highway and mountain driving miles.

 

wow i get 2 alignments a year and its always off lol, i always go to intrack they are great. My pressure was around 35 warmed up and got around 12k miles on this car now so far so good on everything else. The vibration happens around 75-80 then goes away its probably he Acura Ghost lol
