Deal Officially Signed on V6 Adv BWP Espresso
Went to Napleton Acura (Palm Beach, FL) last night and signed the paperwork for my new Bellanova White Pearl with Espresso. Car is still there (getting decklid spoiler and windows tinted). I must say, Napleton was pretty good to deal with. They tried very hard to get me the color I wanted, then once they got it (and before I saw it), I changed my mind. They accommodated me with no complaints and the car finally came in yesterday from a dealer trade.
Napleton agreed to a deal with me about a month ago and stood by the deal when the car finally came in. I could seriously tell that they were kicking themselves over what they agreed to give me for my '06 TL. I would say that it was in good, clean condition. It needed some maintenance (oil change, various air filters) and a couple of fixes (arm rest is rock hard at this point, cup holder cover broke, strange knocking sound coming from front rear), but was running great with 91,700 miles on it. The black book says it is worth about $9,600 as a trade. They gave me $11,500. Retail is about $12K, and according to the salesman, it will take about $2,500 to get it in selling shape (think that may be a little bit of an exaggeration).
They took $500 off MSRP for V6 Advanced. Between that $500, probably an extra $2,000 for my trade ($1,500 at the least), and the 2 $500 payments by Acura and I think I got a pretty sweet deal. At the end, I asked for a couple of free accessories, and the main sales manager came out personally to tell me no. I wasn't being pushy, I was just asking. Found it pretty funny that he came out to tell me that's it. No more. Done! lol
I definitely do recommend Napleton. They were low pressure and they were all pretty nice. Will definitely buy from them again.
Pictures to come soon.

Exactly. I'm actually very happy that it worked out this way. Napleton has been great. The other, not so much. How did you know who the other dealer was. I never mentioned them.

I recognized the logo on the license plate frame from the dented pics lol...I bought my 09 TSX from there so it was easy to spot the logo Wasn't impressed with them this time around myself - before I placed my order, I was shopping around to see where I would buy - and when I mentioned the Advantage plan to the sales person I bought my TSX from, he didn't even acknowledge the program and said he'd call me when they get some cars in...obviously that'd be too late for me to get in on the program lol I bought my TLX from Acura Pembroke Pines (got our '14 RDX there as well) and they've been great!! Excellent experience - definitely returning there from now on.

Good, I'm glad it worked out for you in the end and you gave your business to a dealer you liked.

Oh man, I didn't even notice that (about the plate). Good catch. I've been to Pembroke Pines Acura a few times. They are pretty nice there as well. Then I realized that Napleton is like 10 miles closer, so I thought I would give them a try. Mostly for convenience, I chose them over Pembroke Pines. Probably would have been happy at P.P. too.

Bookem - I didn't post in your other thread, but am glad this worked out in your favor.
It would be interesting to see what happens with the other car. Going to guess the dealer will PDR it and if done correctly the new owner will likely never know.

Yeah, my wife and I were looking over the car pretty closely to make sure it wasn't the same car from before. We really thought it was a possible. But it's not the same. We're positive. But we were a little nervous at first. Didn't know how we were going to explain that to my salesman though. lol. Thanks!

That's from the deal they were running right? Where you get your two months paid, up to 500 dollars for each payment if you were financing through AFS?
I was told by my local dealer that the deal expired on the 2nd or the 4th or something (though there was no mention of the end date of this deal on their site until they took the image down). Did you verify you were getting that for sure?

Some very initial thoughts: Car is totally beautiful (some pictures real soon). Of course, it was pouring down rain for a while right as I drove out of the dealership, but the car came out spotless when I arrived at home (love white!). ACC and LKAS work awesome. Though I could see, if your not careful, the ACC lulling you into a comfort zone that, well, would almost make me feel uncomfortable. BSI and parking sensors worked flawlessly. Tried remote start from about 100 yards. Car was up and running (and cold!) when I walked up to it (with the puddle lights coming on as I got close). On the way to work, CBMS gave a quick flash on the windshield. I was aware that I was coming up fast on a car in front of me, but I wasn't going that fast to begin with. However, it was comforting to know that I'll get a warning. Love the high res of the dual screens. Audio sounds fantastic; same with HD radio, which I've never had before.
Finally, for now, the car turns on a dime. I'm sorry, but I find that it corners much better and easier than my '06 TL. It takes the corner like it's on rails. Now, I wasn't flying around the corner, but I wasn't going slow either. And though the specs don't show much of a difference (they show the '06 has a slightly better turning radius than the TLX), that does NOT seem to be the case at all. So far, absolutely LOVE this car. Thanks!
Sadly, no. lol

PAWS, as the acronym implies, helps the car grip the road by allowing the rear wheels to turn slightly in the direction of, or counter to, the front wheels depending on vehicle speed and direction. At parking-lot speeds, PAWS helps reduce the car’s turning radius. At highway speeds, it allows the rear wheels to slightly turn in tandem with the front wheels, increasing the car’s stability and assisting in quick turns and lane changes.

Three Wheelin'
I think the stats may lie as it certainly feels tighter. Maybe the front wheel turning radius is the same but is overall better with P-AWS. It would be interesting to see the difference to the SH-AWD.
