Dashmat Installation Issue

I have been trying to install a Dashmat in my TLX. THe supplied velcro adhesive will not stick to the dashboard, I cleaned it with a spray cleaner, tried again with both the Dashmat supplied Velcro and other industrial strength velcro I had. Neither will adhere. I suspect the detail guys at Acura may have wiped some Armor-All type stuff on the dash. Any suggestions as to how to get rid of it?
I am hesitant to use rubbing alcohol since I havent tried it before.

TIA.
2016 TLX V6 w Advance SH-AWD.

You can try using a good APC and then follow up with a warm water towel to rid of any extra APC residue. Should stick fairly nicely after that.

all purpose cleaner. Just make sure you dilute it enough

Or I personally use Optimum power clean

Just use a little bit of dawn dishsoap in a couple cups of warm water. The soap will attract the oily residue off the dashboard without ruining it. Then use some more warm water to clean it off and dry it. You don't need any fancy cleaners or anything. You don't want to use something too harsh.
