Car slow to warm up.

So I got a 2015 TLX AWD Advance with remote start, 2500 miles on the clock. I've remote started my car and hit the remote twice so it will stay running longer, especially since the temperatures have been dropping into the single digits. When I get out to my car it's still running and everything is working as it should. I get in the car and check the temp gauge it's still flat, ice cold. I've tried it on warmer days say around 40° and it still does the same thing. When I start driving it warms up within 2 or 3 minutes so I'm sure nothing is wrong. I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if it's only happening because of a particular oil the manufacturer puts in new motors for the break in.

I notice my gauge (4 cyl) is also slow to rise, but the car is putting out heat. From what I have read, gauges are not necessarily linear, and they can map the display to show a pretty wide range of temps within the "normal" meter position so people don't get hyper about a rise. If you are getting hot heat air, I'd ignore it, but you can always get the dealer to check the thermostat. No idea what the thermostat point is on the Acura, if anyone can chime in.

Thermostats on most honda/acura's are around 80-88C.

That's odd that after running the engine for 5+ minutes the gauge hasn't moved. On all of my other honda/acura's the needle starts moving after 2-3 minutes.

I'm in the same situation as jim256, my gauge still haven't moved after 4 mins. , but my car it's blowing warm air. No complaints with this cold on the east coast.
