What the fuck were the "parking attendants" doing while there were 5 car alarms blaring at (I'm guessing) the same time?!

I would be sooooo incredibly pissed, hope those lowlifes feel the wrath of karma

For me it was an unattended parking building. Car alarms are more an annoyance rather than a deterrent. Nobody pays them any attention.

they didn't do anything. even the police officer asked the attendants.
Since this one is shared with Ritz Carlton, they only care about those valet parking cars not monthly like me or daily.

After the incident, they were busy telling us the garage has no responsibility and we shouldn't left anything valuable in our cars.

It makes me sad when I read posts like this. As someone stated earlier, it makes you not even want to go out and buy a nice vehicle. But then again why should one suffer and not reward themselves because of some of the ignorant people in the world. So sorry this happened to you.

One of the worst places to park is a movie theatre. They know you are inside for ~ 2 hours.

Oh man! Deja-vu all over again for me! I know the sadness and anger the OP feels. My beautiful 4G was broken into in the parking garage next to the office building I was working in. I was parked right next to the main elevator/stairwell.

I had a Blendmount'ed radar detector that the thieves decided they wanted to chance the break-in for.. busted out the passenger side front window, knocked the rearview mirror off of the windshield and rifled through the glove boxes.

In knocking the rearview mirror off of the windshield, the windshield was cracked, they ripped the wires apart that were connected to the mirror, which ripped the headliner all the way to the sunroof. In ripping those wires, the car was left unable to start. The insurance company called in a tow truck that had to use dollies on the wheels because the car was parked on the second level and truck with the car on the flatbed was too tall... The car was an SH-AWD so it could not be towed.

It happened in the afternoon with guards in the area. No place is truly safe out in the public.

I no longer use a radar detector and never leave anything in sight.

OP, I am sorry to see what the did to your baby. I know the feeling of the car being violated. When I sold the car, there were still bits of glass coming out of the carpet, nooks and crannies. The car never felt quite the same.

Thanks guys!

I just came back from a repair shop and they recommended to re-spray front door and rear (for blend). also replacing chrome molding at the bottom of window.
It will take 5 days to do so...
I don't feel good about re-painting my new car though.
I also told them please remove every-single glass pieces from the door panel.
(I already did the rest of interior)

Hope for the best at this point...

if the person painting your car is experienced, he'll blend the paint like nothing ever happened.

Hang in there CLK... at least you have insurance to take care of the issues and hopefully your paintjob will be good as new. I also hate that parking garages can't/don't keep video surveillance of anything for this.
