Well no shit you don't like the A4. What a stupid argument.
What is even funnier is buying a depreciating asset for cash. So his $50K was worth $45K when he drove it off the lot. But just think of all the interest expense he saved.
Expect he is just showing off that he has $50K to plunk down on a crappy car.
Just Showing OFF

This is why LEASED my TLX after having purchased cash no financing my $50K 2007 E90.
Yeah I am that cheap.
Just because the TLX is cheap does not, in any way, make it a good buy with all the competition. Yes you may save 5k, but you also lose out on many advanced features found in direct models (A4,Q50). You always say a 45k car does not deserve a 4 cycle engine (even if it's high tech with a turbo). What about the TLX, does it deserve the same engine found in a 30k car or a minivan? Works both ways my friend.
The market has tremendously caught up to Acura. You may say I'm a show off too but I'm ready to buy (not lease) an Audi A5 Sportback. I've seen many complaints/problems about the TLX on this forum. I have yet to see anything as disastrous as the 9sp ZF on the Audi A4 platform (including from fellow members here with A4s). Your whole bang for buck and reliability factors are no longer a staple of Acura. I'm ready to move on, especially if getting zero discounts on the Aspec.
I know you'll respond with "my BMW was awful", "Audi interiors suck", bla bla bla. The TLX has had many situations in the problems forum where it stops working with all dash lights on. I don't remember seeing any major issues with the TL beside transmission/converter or oil consumption. I'd take the A4 even if it has all the TLXs problems, I want fun for my 50k premium price tag (not smart luxury...Kia has that for much less now).
Let's not even talk about looks, the MMC TLX is OK looking but a far cry from being on the cover of a car magazine. I never walk into a showroom, look at a car, and say 'I'll take it'. Looks are extremely subjective and to be ignored in this topic.

And a serious dislike for cars that are more expensive or are perceived to or actually do outperform whatever he has bought at the time. Same story on all the forums.
You keep saying that sh*t and I keep correcting you.
How many times did I say that at $50K I would rather get a 340i? That BMW is my preferred mainstream brand? That my ideal new car would be "only" a manual F80 M3 (preferably Yas Marina Blue Metallic) and lowered..

It is a matter of the balance of high/low points that get your interest. The TLX V6 is a great buy for what it is. Supremely comfortable, plush interior and good looks, balanced powertrains, noble V6, reliability. I would definitely buy again that glorified Accord again a 328i N20/B48 or any glorified Golf.
