We just picked up our 2015 TLX, and have been unable to find a way to set the gender for the voice prompts (the salesman couldn't help). This isn't the case for the 2 TLs we already own. The new car is for my wife, and it's surprisingly important to her to be able to select a male voice prompt (vs the default female).

Interesting, did she say why? Combat planes use a female voice "Bitching Betty" for voice warnings. Tests showed the female voice was more positively effective in getting the attention of the pilot.

Wonder with more female combat pilots being added to the mix if they will put in a male warning voice package for them?

 

Interesting re pilot alerts! My wife says she "just likes having a male voice." Go figure!

 

Mid-2000's HandsFreeLink systems used to have a male prompt option. He sounds a lot more calm and natural than the female prompt.
