Acura Rear seat cover
Installed my rear seat cover today and have to say I'm impressed with the quality of it. Now I bought this because I have a dog and I figured this would protect the interior a bit better than just an "over the top" rear seat cover.
I have to say that it does sort of kill my espresso interior but I think I'll take function over aesthetics for now.
This thing was a pain in the ass to install. You have to fold the seats down to velcro the thing to the back of the seats. Pull and try to maneuver every nook and cranny. Took me a good 30min to install, but I'm sure it would've been alot easier during the day time. Worst of all it came with no instructions.
I can update about how water resistant it really is and how it goes up against a 94lb Golden Retriever

Seems like it'd be a PITA to remove and re-install whenever you need to carry people in the back, unless they don't mind getting dog hair all over themselves.
I use a movers blanket from Harbor Freight. Cheap, thick, and covers the entire seating area + arm rests. I just fold it up and store in the trunk when not in use.

Overkill? Maybe, but anything to keep my TLX as mint as possible for as long as possible.
And I don't drive many people anyways. My dog is my main passenger lol.

Seems easy enough to just wipe down from time to time, taking it off and putting in the washer every weekend would be overkill and a royal pain in the ass.

I had similar seat covers in my previous car (the car had cloth interior and the seats were not as easy to clean as having leather). The material is called neoprene and it held up well over the years. Had a few spills over the years and water didn't seep through the covers... the material of the covers is similar to what they make wet suits out of. I would say that these covers will definitely help if you have little kids or car seats and don't want your leather getting creased up

I linked him this http://www.acurapartssuperstore.com/...roducts_id=551
And two days later he showed up with it and told me don't worry about paying him back. The only thing that sucks is the set didn't come with instructions on how to install it, but I found a PDF file online of how to.

No problem.
Honestly if I had to, I would've paid the $200 or so to get them. I haven't taken them off since installing them and there's no sort of odor from my dog on them at all. Then again, I am a bit extreme and did use a car seat cover over them too. I wanted these as an extra measure so he doesn't scratch the leather or anything, they've worked great.
There's a fair amount of open space around the seat belt buckles so I just make sure to try and cover that area the most, but I imagine some dirt/sand has snuck its way down there already. It's just a pain to take the thing off to inspect.

Old thread I know, but they sell car seat seat protectors that provide padding both under, and behind car seats.
That combined with a similar protector for the back of the front seats (sneaker/shoe scuffs & dirt), and my seats are as protected as they can get with a toddler!
