That's the one thing Lexus had over Acura/Honda and I love it. Living in Southern Cali, I rarely use the heated seats (only when it hits under 70 F ) but I'd be using the vented seats everyday!!!

Ah yes. The economy car trying to box with the big boys. Just like Hyundai and their Eqquis and Genesis. Cars that cost $60k to buy and are worth $20k after a year. I'm gonna need them to stay in their lane. Value is always going to be part of the equation when it comes to the cars worth. Especially it's value after the 3 years of ownership and you're ready to trade it in.

Oh. Found this the other day for that...saito(I don't know how to spell it. Lol) guy.

Why would they call out "Front and Rear Sheetmetal"? lol, like they've run out of things to highlight. . .

Take that Saturn, Acura uses metal in their cars. It's that kind of thrill.

So many people rave about Audi A4 here and they have not made any gains on the 3 Series with their all new model. Barely selling more per month than TLX. I don't care how fast this KIA/G70 is they will have a hard time cracking the market.

I had a friend that had a POS Saturn.. He got into some accident and I was shocked to see his front door cracked and it was made of plastic.. I always thought cars had sheet metal but evidently this IS something that needs to be explicitly identified

I think the RS7 is gorgeous. The A4 doesn't do anything for me.

I rather have a TLX A Spec with blood red interior, and blue exterior than an A4 anyday

Lol. Well sheet metal is heavier. To my knowledge. Don't quote me on that tho.

You will see a lot more composites on cars in the future. BMW coupes have been running composite front ends, nose & fenders since 2007 to reduce weight over the front wheels. Composites in front battery in the trunk = 50/50 balance.

Chevy highlights its steel body Silverado vs FORDS alloy F150 body. Some people prefer steel although the F150 buries the Silverado in sales.

lol what's with the hate against Kia Stinger and Genesis and the A4?? hahaha!

The new Stinger and new Genesis models are heavily influenced by the former Audi designer BMW M head engineer. They should at the very least be somewhat competitive. While the Genesis models don't really stand out other than the value, I thought the Stinger is sort of in a league of its own. There's not really a direct competitor for it. It doesn't compete with regular family sedans like the Accord, Sonata, Camry, or Altima. And it also doesn't compete directly with the 3 series, C Class, A4, etc, as that job is for the G70 to do.

To me, the closest competitor to the Stinger is probably the Dodge Charger. They seem to be priced similarly and both are RWD. The Charger though is bigger, and with the R/T Scat pack, is way faster with almost 500hp.

For the A4, based on my understanding, it doesn't sell all that well because Audi traditionally doesn't offer any attractive incentive/lease programs. Having said that, the A4 now seems to have a new competitor - the Honda Accord.

Would have chose that color it BMW had it. The 3/4 series red is poor. Had a red similar to the A4 on an X3.

it's a metallic, not pearl...I stand corrected.
Also, I love it because it's more of a burnt orange than red.

Hell to the no, I love my A4!!!! And I can fit 3 people in the back, luxurious and spacious. Not too mention I hate the TLX's face now, didn't mind the beak before in the pre-MMC.

A5 Sportback is probably more your flavor. Scuba Blue is a better color than Still Night Blue, and you get to skip the design school dropout Acura aesthetics.

a5 sportbsck is very nice. But from what I recall scuba blue was a bit dark for me. Unless I am mixing them up

I prefer the brilliant blue, estoril blue or the new snapper rocks blue from our test drive last night

No hate. Lol. Just don't think Kia/Hyundai need to try competing with brands like BMW, Audi, and Mercedes. Hahaha. Kia is an economy brand and always has been. Always will be. Them thrusting themselves into the luxury/performance market is causing them to make nice cars with no hold on value. In the end, you gotta look at who's buying the car. People that have normally bought BMW, Benz, Audi and others will scoff at the $50k+ price tag of a Kia. If they decide to buy it, 3 years down the road when they want to trade it, they'll realize that they should have never left their brand in the first place wen they owe $45k on a car that's worth $23k. with 35,000 miles on it.

Don't get me wrong. It's nice. The motor has some good power. I can see the Charger being it's only real competition since they're both RWD. But as you said, the Charger having the R/T, Scat Pack, and Hellcat models, it'll get left in the dust.

Nah!! Think a lot of the Dodge Hi-Performance buyers are young Muscle Car wannabees & former muscle car owners reliving the 1960's or non-owners buying the car they could not afford back in the day.

I respect what the Kia/Hyundai brand is doing and hope that their offerings will light a fire under Acura's arse. But with that being said, I'm generally not interested in the brand itself. So, no hate... just no interest.

As for the A4, I can't see much cross-shopping with the new Accord.

Interesting that it's not dramatically quicker than the TLX 2.4. Then again, that curb weight makes it heavier than the TLX 3.5 P-AWS.

They keep the price down using cheaper heavier materials and then market the engine specs instead of the resulting performance.

Certainly not a compelling proposition in that form.

Haha, sorry guys, I mentioned the Dodge Charger only because it's RWD and is in a similar price range to the Kia Stinger. Like I've said, the Stinger is really in its own segment. I do wonder how it will do sales wise. At around $35k for the base Stinger 2.0T, that's where the Accord 2.0T Touring is at. The Accord is way faster and is much better equipped though. On the other hand, for that amount of money, one can also get the base 320i or a base Audi A4 2.0T Ultra.
