2018 tlx aspec

Noticing what feels like a shifting slip (transmission slip) between 20 and 45 mph. Anyone else notice this? About 34K miles on my car now.

Taking it into dealer this week but I thought I'd check in with my fellow TLX owners on here first.

Thanks in advance for any insight.

How would I know? I'm one of the first 100 2018 ASPEC blue built. Does that help?

It's got to be a V6 because they added the 4 cylinder A Spec option in the '19 year model.

Threads like this make me glad to be rid of my ZF9. I checked the TSB list. The only documentation of TLX tranny slipping was for the 8DCT, which isn't what you have per the astute observation by a35tl.

What you will find on this forum is a litany of ZF9 complaints about its performance and behavior. I'm not saying that's what you have. I'm just suggesting maybe reading about some of this stuff in case the dealership tries to say "it's acting normally" or writes off slipping as some sort of hesitation. My ZF9 had a tendency to ride the torque converter like someone who doesn't know stick shift riding the clutch. True slipping, as in revs without motion, means something isn't right. You seem like a guy who senses that. So go in there with facts and be respectful but firm if they try to tell you all is good. Dozens if not hundreds of people have gotten their ZF9s replaced within and outside of the warranty period due to known quality and behavioral issues on the ZF9. Just don't expect getting it replaced to be a cakewalk.

Thanks for checking the TSB list. I appreciate your insight. I'll put on my armor and go into battle.
