2018 Memory Seat Issue?

What’s up. I’m new here. Just picked up a 2018 A-Spec SH-AWD, Red on red. I noticed when I got out my car and my seat would slide back (which I know it’s suppsed to do), but when I get back in the car, sometimes it doesn’t go back to the driver 1 settings, and I’ll have to manually press driver 1. So I turned the feature off that moves the seat when you get out the car. But now almost every time I get back in the car, the driver 1 light doesn’t light and I still have to press it and my seat will very slightly move to the correct position, and I never even moved it. Just seeing if there’s anything I’m doing wrong before I go back to the dealer.

you need to unlock the car and open the driver door in order for the settings (driver 1 or 2, depending on the keyfob that unlocked the car) to be applied.

If you made any adjustment to the seat or ext. mirrors after unlocking and opening the driver's door, the light (D1 or D2) will go off to indicate that you've modified the memorized settings.

yeah I do that already. I have my driver 1 key in my pocket and walk up and unlock the door. It works sometimes and other times it doesn’t.

Try unlocking it by pushing the "unlock" button to see if this will make a difference. I think the keyless unlocking vs. remote unlocking behaves differently.

I would move the seat to the correct position using the seat controls and then re set the memory settings by pushing SET then "1". The memory seats in all of my Acuras have never been that good. For example, if you move the seat and try to recall your memory setting by pushing "1" or "2", it will return to a position "close" to where you set it, but almost never to the EXACT position.
