Wheels for 09 fwd TL

I am in the process of buying a TL Tech FWD. I dont like the wheels on the FWD cars, becuase the car is so big and the wheels look so small. I like the wheels that RonJon has designed for the 09 but I didnt see a date of release for them. I am wondering if the liquid graphite Legends will fit the 09?? MY second question is for you dealers in here. I also very much like the 19's that come on the AWD versions. The thick spoked 19's that look graphite in color are the ones im referring to. Any idea on pricing for those or when they will be available for purchase. Is there any fitment issues for the wheels coming from an AWD to FWD? I am not interested in any of the wheels Acura offers from their accessories book, but I really like the 19's displayed on the AWD versions in the brochures and also on the acura website.

The pricing for them is on myacura.com. They are about 2500 with installation if you bring your own tires and about 3500 w/tires and installation. There are to 19" renditions. There are the 10 spoke (5 chrome look/5 graphite look) and then there is another 9 bar lookin set. Im not a dealer but I too wondered the same thing. I only considered getting the 19's from the dealer beacause I want the TPMS to still work. In my honest opinion though, and that may be because my money is spent already, I've looked at how the 17s look on the car and they dont look bad at all. You can see the calipers really good. They have a transparent look at about 50mph. Holla Back.

I just bought a set of 19" FCS Chrome-Look Alloy wheels for my 4G TL. It's specifically made for the new TL by Acura. It should be arriving by UPS today. Once I get it on my car. I'll post pics!

a member on here fitted a 20 inch onto her 3rd gen. i think a set of 20s on the 4th will make look really nice. i mean jesus christ the car is large, a set of small wheels will just look awkward

Unless you get the right color. I mean, you can make any set of wheels look decent with the right drop. But on this car, you have so many things to consider. The dealer warns against axle damage and anything above 19 voids your warranty and then the TPMS which is too expensive to fix and already paid for so you want it to work. Then, I know as a 3G owner, the ride in it was rough because of the 45 series tires. They only bumped that up one step so its a choice of sacrigficing the ride quality or not if you ask me.

Thank you for your information. I only see the aftermarket accessories that Acura offers though. As I said in my post, I dont care for the two sets that they offer as an aftermarket wheel. I am interested in the stock 19's off of the awd models. The ones that are pictured in the brochures on the awd versions of the car are the wheels that I want. I just dont really care for the look of the two sets that are offered as an accessory, although seeing pictures of Pete's TL w/ the "chrome look" 19's does look good on his particular color car. Anyone have any idea what cost would be on the wheels I am interested in? Thanks in advance!

I think some Inspyres in 19" would look killer on the new TL, 4 finishes to choose from, and the specs are ideal. The Legend Type II in 20" would also be pretty aggressive.

Rondy,

The Inspyres DO look great on the 2009 TL's. I like the 2nd picture the best. Which Inspyres are those?

Not that I am aware of -- I would still like to know this, too, especially for the TL SH-AWD w/HPT option.

AWD def has the 5 x 120, and so does the FWD. I am making a trip to the dealer to confirm this week.
