What do you guys think....
I just purchased a set of the 19" HPT for my TL and I got the idea of getting them power coated the same color as the 07-08 TL-S wheels. What do you guys think? How do you think those would look?
Thanks in advance

hpt stands for high performance tire...so your getting the tire painted?? just kidding, i knew what you meant...
i would love to see my rims on my sh painted the same color as the type s wheels...but i am not going to go through the trouble of having them painted...
now if the wheels are still off the car without tires mounted on them, then yes, i would look into that...

Getting the wheels powder coated as we speak. It should be done by this weekend. Now I just have to decide whether to get All-Season tires and sell the 18s or get Summer tires and just swamp out for the 18s every winter.

Sweet! I think that they will look awesome powder coated. I have seen these rims black chromed and they are
I am a firm believer in separate sets for winter and summer. Keep the 18's, slap some Blizzaks (my personal fave) on em and throw some good summer shoes on for your new 19's
Of course throw some pics up here as soon as you can! Thanks again for taking these off my hands!

Too late Eric, already ordered all season Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus tires in 245/40/19. I was told that this is the best tire to have for both summer and winter performance.
And thank you for the wheels, I should have them on the car by Monday or Tuesday. Ill post pics of course. I just hope they turn out good.

^^I forgot to put that I am switching over to the Continental Extreme Contact DWS in the spring for my 3 season tires. (See here) EVERYONE that I have talked to that has the Conti DWS, swear by them (friends that are driving the AWD Audi, Bimmer and a porsche owner). They have all owned the Mich PS Plus AS's as well and say that the Conti DWS's have given the Michelins a straight up beat down.
You might want to consider these They are also much cheaper per tire than the Michelins.

Damn shame, I've yet to see a rim that blows me away on the 4G TL CBP paint? If your happy with it, that's all that matters, but to me they look like dirty chrome stock rims, which I've seen. I'm curious how a glossy black with that style would look?

Dude...I don't know-I'm not sure how it looks with the black 4G. But you like it and that's what is most important. Drive it and enjoy!

I like it! Did you have it done in the Chicago area? I have asked around NW Ohio and no one does it for a decent price they all want $175 each and higher which I feel is a bit high. May I ask about how much getting this done set you back? Again I like it and what to have it done on mine also.
