wanted new rims but...

So I call discount tire to get new rims and tires. I was all ordered up and asked about the TPMS and no dice. They said they dont have any yet for the TL and I have to wait who knows how long. So I cancelled the order. No 19" rims for me. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks Pat

Why not buy OEM TPMS sensors from Acura? Worked just fine for me.

I got the same response from discount tire last week when I was talking to them about some rims. Was told they just can't get TPMS's for the '10. I suggested they would be the same sensors that the '09 used, and received stunned silence. Just picked up a complete set (sensor assembly, washer, locking nut x4) for under $190 at a relatively local dealer, but be sure to call around. I was quoted a high price of $304.35 from the dealer where I had my previous 2 Acura's serviced (not using them anymore).

Just print out the e-store prices and bring them to your dealership. Your dealer will honor those prices without dealer markup. It worked when I just mentioned the online prices, but when armed with a hard copy they will have no room to argue.

Well they wanted to mount and balance the tires, then send them to me. Then I would of had to have them remounted. So maybe Ill see if i can mail the sensors to them. Big pain in the ass.
