Tein SA setting advice

So i bit the bullet and bought the Tein SA, camber arms, and new tophats... Have had nice 20" ron jons (20x8.5 et 40 or 42 forget)for a few years now on stock suspension, can finally address the gap.

I am looking for a setup that

1.) doesn't rub when i have passengers in back
2.) is maximizing shock travel and comfort
3.) more towards comfort than performance
4.) rather deal less with speedbumps and inclines, versus the perfect hardpark look

These are 16 way dampers... I presume tein suggests 08/08 for stock settings. I am thinking a drop of about an inch (1.5" total considering full height is -.5") maybe even end up at a total of 1.25"

I am having a shop install, and i really don't want to waste a ton of time with my rear seat out as I have child seats and daily needs to transport the kid.

What would the suggestion be for out of the box dampening settings? I know its subjective, but i have to start somewhere. I am thinking somewhere around recommended maybe slightly on the softer side, but want some input if you would be so kind

Cheers

I set mine to 1.5 inches instead of the 1.42 (front and rear)inch setting Tein recommended to set the coilovers at. That gave me close to a finger gap but a tight finger gap. The back was a little lower than the front with those recommended setting. I ended up raising the back close to .25 inches to even the level the front with the back. Once the coilover settled in, it became half a finger gap. I'm raising it back up to get that finger gap. Setting the dampers at 8f and 8r was too bouncy for my liking. I think I have mine set at 10f and 12r. For me, this is a little stiffer and rides better than the oem setup. Just keep the back seat out so you can adjust it. I'm running 20x10 +40offset all around with 245/35/20 tires. My car hasn't rubbed once even after the coilovers settled.

Nah, I didn't have to roll my fenders at all, but it's really close. I've had 4 people total in my car and still didn't rub.

get it installed, wait a few days for the springs and shocks to set in, then take it to align.

once aligned then you start with center dampening which is 8, and tweak it as you go, dont put the rear seat back on yet.. go for a drive and keep adjusting till you like it.

its a bitch getting that rear seat out.. just FYI. if you have another car to drive then it should be all good for you but if this is your only car.. good luck to you sir.

Thanks, i just went with the 08/08 setup and it is very comfortable... may stiffen the fronts a couple each, but not inclined to take out the back seat again.
