Tein coilover

Yesterday I called TEIN USA and they said the TEIN BASIC and TEIN SS can use on 4G TL SH-AWD and just need to adj. the rear spring seats hight + 10mm more.

Anyone use the TEIN coilover on your 4G TL SH-AWD?
Please leave comment.

Thanks!

there's one thing that bothers me about this, and it may just be a matter of semantics, however ...

MurkeyRivers left his car with TEIN for a week "... to do research and development for springs and coils over the SHAWD TL", yet leaves with what appears to be a set of SS's which apply to the TL platform across the board. Maybe I'm alone in this, but it seems to me that the SH-AWD configuration might require a different application over the base TL, no? I haven't checked, but are the suspension parts interchangeable between the base TL thru/including the SH-AWD? If so, why did TEIN need the car for a week?

ML, I had the TEIN SS w/ EDFC installed 4 days ago on my SH-AWD. The car now hugs the road like glue. I really love the EDFC which give me the options from inside the car to make the ride hard or soft. Currently my EDFC is set at 11 front and rear.

They tested not only coilovers but also the different springs available. I believe they test 4 different setups, while having the other cars there that they are working on (which is a lot).

I should get the EDFC, I have it set at 10 all around and it feels great. I believe 16 is the softest right? I havent played with it, but can you post pics where you installed the controller?

Why an individual PM? The prices are posted on the TEIN website ... $1080 for the SS's + EDFC. Unless you are getting people discounts, I don't understand the secrecy.

No secrecy my friend...i've been talking with TJ on the PM side about suspension MODs, upgrades and what i've paid to get Mods done. Also, am not in the selling business so no go here on discounts.

Could be interested, but since you said in another thread you have something in development would hate to regret the decision

Absolutely. Adjustable ride height, adjustable damping, high quality, and great ride comfort.
