Suspension question

Does anyone here just have aftermarket springs installed on their 4th Gen TL? If so, which springs do you have and how has it affected your ride quality?
I'm looking into getting some springs (don't feel like spending the money on coil-overs) and would like to go with ones that get positive feedback from the members here.
Thanks
Morris

I have tein S tech's currently. I have had them for 2 months and they ride like stock. I'm about to sell them though cuz my wife just bought a set of coilovers. If I didn't get the coil overs as a gift I would've just stuck with the springs cuz I never plan on adjusting my height and stiffness.

it makes the stiffer than oem.. many have vouched that it did..

sick_type_s,, once you put on the coils, test it out you will like them a whole lot better than your spring only set up.

I have Tein H Techs on my 4G for now and after everything I've read, these truly do ride practically identical to OEM with improved handling but a mild drop. I have a slammed s2000 and its a huge hassle to get it out of the driveway. I didn't want the same for the TL, since it's my DD. Nevertheless, I'm sure a coilover setup will be sweet. I'm definitely looking forward to tax refund season! LOL.

Did you need a camber kit with the Tein springs?

No camber kit needed, especially with H Techs.

S tech gives it a better looking drop but H tech's are more stiff.

FWD or AWD? If FWD TEIN springs, if AWD H&R Sports.

Put in your vehicle info and you can browse all the springs available for your 4G TL.

I looked at those in your website. I've gotten all my other parts from you guys (CAI, J-Pipe, CBE, HFC, and brakes/rotors). I was thinking of maybe getting those but wanted to see what other members here reccommended first.

I'm running H&R springs. It looks great and the handling honestly is almost identical to stock. it might be marginally stiffer, but barely.

coil overs are better but cost more. if you can afford it, get coil overs from the get go.. but if you are like me and just want improved looks for cheap - get springs. i couldn't stand the wheel gap of my OEM setup... and wasn't really to drop the almost $1000 for coil overs..

you can get springs for about $250. i scored mine used on CL for $120.... smokin' deal!

the drop on my H&R is pretty good.

I've been leaning towards getting the H&R, they seem to get a lot of positive feedback from most people. Thanks

I have the H&R as well, i am happy with them and like others have said the are somewhat stiffer than stock but not uncomfortable. The drop is perfect for me and if i should move up to coilovers i would maintain the ride height i have currently.Op,i you are interested click on my link to see before and after pics

One thing that i found interesting is that on other forums such as BMW and Lexus the Tein's does not get the rave reviews like it does on Acurazine,it is actually considered a downgrade from stock.
It could be because our choices are limited that the Tein's represent the best choice. This is not a knock on Tein's,just an observation from research.

Your ride looks sporty, yet classy. I like the drop from the H&R springs based on what I saw from your pics. Looks like I might be sold on them
