Sumitomo tires ??
Hello Guys,
I have a 2012 TL SH-AWD, I am looking to buy new tires. As of now I have BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S installed but the thread is almost gone. I been considering to buy Sumitomo HTR A/S P02 (H- or V-Speed Rated)
but based on a few bad reviews I am not sure. I was wondering if anyone here have tried those before.

I am very aggressive driver I wonder if those are as good as the BFGoodrich. If you have any tire suggestion in the budget I would appreciate.
Regards,
Alfonso

I haven't tried them but it doesn't seem there's too many bad reviews. More good than bad anyways. Are you thinking about trying them based on budget? I've typically run Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 but I'm thinking of switching it up with my next set as well. How did the BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S treat you?

The BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S best tires I ever had, car feels like on rails in wet and dry, 0 hydroplaning. I'm thinking to try the sumitomos based on budget.

Interesting, I absolutely hated the GForce COMP-2 A/S tires on my TL; the ride and handling was acceptable, but the noise from those tires was horrific.

Right now they have about 5/32nds left and they are a little noisy in highway speeds but they still stick really good to the pavement.

I replaced the Comp-2s with a set of Cinturato P7 A/S tires, and even with them being new, they easily stick as well as the old BFGoodrichs.

I would pick the BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S over the other. Then again, I like the Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 too. However, you have to make the decision. If you want a smoother rider then Cinturato P7 A/S tires probably best call. Performance BFG or Michelin or Cost then Sumitomo HTR A/S P02 (H- or V-Speed Rated).

Another user hated Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus because they were noisy on his 245 45 18 yet they were quiet on our car with 245 40 19 (Before I took the car over and switched to summer only and winter only) So it seems little factors can play into certain pluses or minuses even in the same car model though different year and tire sizes.
