Slotted and drilled rotors question

Anyone know what a good brand and price is? I saw some on ebay for $200 including ceramic pads. Thanks

That's cheap. I think it's stop tech that has one if the better deals but they're not that cheap. I can look and see which ones I have but they are not drilled and slotted. They're dimpled with groves in them. From about 5 feet away and further they look drilled but they're not. Have to be careful with drilled rotors because they do crack. Dimpled doesn't and the few ounces you save aren't worth talking about

drilled rotors are prone to crack.

really think about it.
holes drilled in close proximity to each other.

I believe Adams Rotors is a vendor on here, search for his thread. I believe a few people on here have gone with them and are happy from what I've seen

Don't quote me on this but I heard drilled rotors aren't the greatest and mostly for looks. Apparently slotted rotors are actually made to dissipate heat.

He can quote you because you're correct. Drilled rotors are more for looks than being effective. Go dimpled if you want the drilled look. Slotted definitely get rid of heat faster.

Dimpled rotors tend to emit more noise, due to the brake pads sweeping across the dimpled surfaces.

Best by far is slotted. Drilled and slotted doesn't leave any surface area for stopping so don't buy the eBay set. I wouldn't skimp on brakes. Spend the extra.

i thought I would avoid the cracks with a dimpled but the noise at speed was crazy ended up with slotted and they perfect/

It really depends on what you use the car for and the quality of parts. Drill/slotted do serve a purpose, why do you think so many real racecars and sports brake kits of high quality offer these options and standard rotors also. I could see that drill slotted for an all weather application would give the best cooling and also braking during wet conditons helping to channel water away and allow rotor suface at the same time for the pads to bite. For safety dont buy junk, thats alot of peoples problems and miss information about rotors cracking. (cheap rotors, pads, or both) most forget to mention or even wrong installation. HAHA!

Personally drilled slotted look SWEET!
