Questions about H&R springs.

I just got back from my Acura dealer and my sales guy Daren just got a WDP TL and he lowered it with H&R springs. The car looked so much better even with the stock rims (which I would keep as well... I love the stock 18's). I want to do the same thing but he complained that he did not like the way the car acted above 90 MPH.

I wanted to get your opinions on this before I buy the H&R springs.

Also what did it cost you to have them installed?

THX!!!

Hmm, I don't think I've taken it over 90 for a sustained time period with the springs on, so I'm not sure what he's referencing. Did he give any details? How did the car act with them on? For me the ride got slightly stiffer, but not very noticeable from stock, handling was noticeably increased, and of course - the look is much better.

I think I paid $300, took about 4 hours to do (I'm sure it wasn't straight thru on their side).

He was saying that the car felt unsettled compared to when it was stock. I still think I'm going to do it anyway... it looked way better.

What did you pay for the springs and where did you get them from?

They have them at Tire Rack for $206 but are back ordered.

I have them since Aug 09, car is solid like a rock at all speeds. Sounds like maybe he needs to check the install? I presume he got a proper alignment after the install?

Yes he did. But he did say he is real anal about anything he does with his car as am I but I think I'm going to do it anyway.

Where did you get yours installed? Looking for a place to do it and pricing before I order mine.

I have H&R and didn't feel anything unsettling at very high speeds, the handling around turns is improved and I really don't notice much of ride difference either. The car looks extremly better dropped, no matter what size wheels you decide on.

This site is evil

Didn't think of tinting my ride - now it's 32% tinted
Never thought of underbody spoilers - getting on the GB
Never thought of rims, 20" would look good - on the todo list
With 20", figure no drop, with petec2010 ride, H&R looks amazing - oem-ish - noodling over that idea

Now MyT6MT is thinking 18" on H&R - that would look good too since I love the look of the 18" - maybe add a 10mm spacer to bump out the 18" out a bit - would give it that flush effect wouldn't it?

Evil I say, evil

Anyway, staying on point with the op question - could it be because the ride is stiffer, the driver feels the road more - as in all bumps

+1 Josh has great prices and can do the install as well. His guys have already done a few 4G TL spring install, so they're probably the best.

In total I think it took 4-5 hours, I actually brought my laptop and 3G card and walked to a nearby starbucks and then swung back when they finished up. Ended up being more productive than if I was in the office.

I think it was $300-$400 @ Excelerate, don't remember exactly. I called around my area and every place was about the same price, I knew Josh's guy already did CleanCL's ride, so I knew they would do it right. I'm sure you can find a place cheaper, but I'm happy to pay a premium for work done right.

I did exactly the same thing. I sat outside the Starbucks and worked remotely for a couple hours. By the time I walked back, it was almost done. It was probably 4 hours total.
