Lug nuts/locks - 14x1.5 - lightweight options?
Good day gents,
I believe the 4G TL shares the same wheel stud size as the 2G RL, 14x1.5. I've got the 2G RL and as the car isn't that popular anymore, I thought I'd pop in here and throw this question out there.
A few weeks ago I bought a set of PIAA lugs, for Honda/Acura, but they're 12x1.5. Over this past weekend when I was mounting a set of 19's from the BMW 335i, which has an acorn style wheel seat, I realized quickly that my PIAA 12x1.5 isn't the right size and with a micrometer found that the RL stud is 14mm. Have you 4G TL owners found that yours are 14mm too?
What options are out there for aftermarket lightweight lugs? I've bought a set of Gorillas for the moment to speed things up but am looking for alternatives, they don't have to be ultra light, just not lead weight.

It is not all about the stud size. Most newer Acuras share the 5x120 bolt circle with 14x1.5 studs. However, the lug nut seat seems to vary over time. For example, the 2005-2008 RL used the flat seat with washer, but the 2007 MDX, 2009+ RL and I believe the 4G TL all share the spherical (ball seat). Not sure about the new TSX. RDX uses older style 5x114 PCD.
Most lightweight tuner nuts, in addition to being 12x1.5, are 60 degree acorn seats, and none of the three seats mentioned here are interchangeable.
So bottom line, let me know if you find any 14x1.5 lightweight nuts

Sorry if I led you to believe that I'm going to be running OEM wheels. I'm aware of the different seat styles but as you mentioned, my RL has a flat seat which won't work with the BMW wheels I tried or the aftermarket 19's I bought (both require Acorns).
What I'm asking is if anyone's found a set of lightweight acorn bulge 14x1.5 lug nuts.

The factory wheels do not use Acorn style. You will destroy the wheel using those. Also I wasn't able to find any lightweight option. See my thread here for the Gorilla system I installed.
