I am trying to find an "oem" replacement for the brake calipers on a '04 sh-awd. I don't want to shell out 4k for a big brake kit, and I don't want to paint the calipers... at all.

The question is: Does anyone know of an upgrade for the calipers either red or black, that isn't going the big brake kit route?

Side note, I love the caliper covers for the '13 RDX, but cant find those either anywhere. I put 20" wheels that would give me plenty of clearance for them, and I know they would take tapping into the caliper to fit, but may be a last resort option?

I was on the same boat as you when I first put on my wheels. Wanted a larger caliper or BBK to fill in the space. I believe the caliper center mount is 5.25" the last time I measured it. Wilwood offers a few calipers in that center mount. After that, you'll need to figure out what correct offset is needed for the new caliper to be and if it fits our stock rotors. Just takes a lot of time measuring and researching to find the right parts.

unfortunately, there are no replacement calipers other than BBK's from an aftermarket company.

if all you are looking to do is to spruce up the aesthetics of the caliper, you can stick on the RDX caliper covers.
they help hide the ugly non-bbk calipers.
