So i got a 09 TL-AWD that i took over to the shop to get dropped, purchased H&R spring and installing new OEM shocks.

Guy at the shop tells me he couldn't finish the job because he needs new strut mounts?? that i need differnt mounts to go with the spring set... not sure what thats about but i have never had to replace the strut mounts on any of my other drops before.

Wanted to ask if anyone else had to do this? and if so where can get the new strut mounts to go with the H&Rs, nobody seems to have them. Any insight would be appreciated

The H&R springs should reuse your oem rubber upper mounts. They don't typically go bad either, so unless your old ones were really worn or damaged there's no need to buy replacements.

Installed them myself, the only thing that is/was replaced was the spring itself, everything else stays and works fine without modification.

The only thing you need to do is go to a shop that knows what they're doing... or do it yourself.
