Do the stock 17"s have clear coat applied?
I picked up a bottle of mother's foaming tire wash for taking care of brake dust:

One of the reviews mentions that this stuff strips away the clear coat. Are the stock 17's clear coated? Does anyone have experience with this stuff?

yes, they are base/clear...most if not all factory wheels are now...

Does anyone have any experience with mother's tire wash? Are there any decent alternatives if it really does strip clearcoat?
