Coilover systems - Tein SS

Let me use Tein SS as an example.
http://www.tein.com/price/acura.html
First, the car rides on the springs. The shock controls the spring movement.
I don't know what the OEM rate is. I'll just guess 350lbs. It makes sense the the lowering springs are stronger, like 400lbs (Tein S-Tech).
Others have said, you can adjust a coilover systems soft or firm. You can even make it ride just like OEM.
The spring rate on a coilover system (SS) is 560lbs.
So how can a coilover system ride soft? Or even anywhere near OEM like because the springs are way stronger.
I'm not doubting, just trying to understand it.
Also, can someone tell me what "Ride Height Adjust Range" is? That would me it's the highest and lowest it can go. If that the case, then what is "Ride Height?" Is the the optimal setting? Meaning, even thou I CAN adjust the height, the best setting is where the "Ride Height" is?

Rowing my own
Progressive springs and proper dampening.
With most tein coil-overs you can adjust the ride height using collars on the coil strut body.
If you expect a factory ride on any coilover though, you're not going to get it. I had run Tein springs on two of my WRX's back in the day (H.Techs on both) and because it's a progressive spring still gave a moderate drop (around .8" if I remember right) and a slightly higher spring rate, but was still mostly compliant around town.

take a ride in a 4G with the TEIN SS set to TEIN recommended settings and you'll see it rides softer then stock. I just did the install and these coilovers blow me away. Changed my whole perspective on how aftermarket coilovers ride.

What is their reccomended setting?? Is that like no drop at all!?!? Im trying to figure out myself if its worth it.

The recommended settings from TEIN is full hard - then back down 10 (6 front) (6 rear).
Tire pressure plays a part as well. I have my winter tires at 37F 37R - and the TEIN's adjusted for 4F 4R -- it ride much smoother then stock - without being isolated.
