Caster problems...Help

I just got my car custom aligned yesterday and one major thing the guy pointed out after my alignment was that my caster were way off from each other. My front right is 4.6 and my front left is at 6.2 and I'm trying to figure out what could have gone wrong. I'm wondering what should I check for to see what's wrong cuz I want to get this fixed. I'm currently lowered on bc coilovers with spc front camber kit and ingalls rear camber kit. So if some people can chime in what I can do if anything that would be great help. Thanks. I will post up my alignment sheet by tomorrow so you guys can see my results.

just a quick question.. have you ever removed or unbolted your front subframe in anyway? any shift in the front suspension components can cause the caster to shift.. rotting bushings can cause that to happen too..

i would have the shop loosen some of the bolts on the suspension components then tighten them back up to specs so that it can be corrected.. also check for rotting bushings..

I will have a shop check it out. Do you know of any shops local to us Luis that can check out and fix my issue? I have never unbolted or touched my subframe but I did hit a really big pothole a month ago and that's only thing that I can think of other then having my front ball joints changed out to spc front camber kit.

I had my car looked at and everything seem good. I did have my coilovers reinstalled so hopefully that could be the issue now that there properly installed I'm going to go get realigned.

the ONLY way to change that control arm set up is if you hit something and bent the arm/pick up points or if the sub frame was moved.
they should have loosened the sub frame anyway to get your alignment more symmetrical in my humble o

Things seem to be better. The one issue I'm trying to figure out now is how do I camber my front wheels negatively a bit. I have spc front ball joints installed but alignment shops said they can adjust the camber negatively without aftermarket upper control arms. The issue is they don't make them for the 4g tl that I know of.

Can someone please advise me if the alignment shops I went to just don't want to do it or are they really being honest.

The control arms from honda do not offer any adjustment... you can use shims to make small changes, but that only move the arms outward, positive camber direction. The ball replacements should offer up an additional margin of camber adjustment in both directions... but only a limited amount.

There are two different spc ball joints... a +/- 1.5 and a +/- 3 degree

I have the +/- 1.5 spc ball joint and they said when I called them that if I turn my ball joint facing in towards my coilover I can slightly camber more negatively then what I'm currently sitting at.

Adjustable upper balljoints will also affect your caster... As you rotate the balljoint to adjust camber, it will also move the top of the knuckle forwards and backwards, affecting your caster (caster on a double wishbone setup is determined by the angle formed by a straight line through the upper and lower balljoints in reference to a completely vertical line in the same place). Realistically if they have your camber adjustment zeroed out, there will be either +- 1.5 degrees from the caster setting prior to installing the balljoints.

Not sure where you went for an alignment but you should really check out WEST END Alignment in Gardena.
