Any word on rear anti sway bar for SH models?

I know that there is an aftermarket rear sway bar for the fwd TLs, but i want one for my sh awd. I got a ride in a friends GTI recently, same mods as my last car, but he had the rear sway bar and i could not believe the difference in handling, i want one NOW lol

Someone, please make one, or let me know if there is one out there already.

Yes and yes.

Can you do me a favor and measure the distance on the rear sway bar bracket from the center of the bolt to the center of the other bolt? Or someone please do so for me.

Basically, there are 2 brackets that hold the sway bar to the chassis. There are 2 bolts that hold that bracket up. I need the distance from the center of the bolt head to the center of the other bolt head to determine which bracket to use. It should be roughly 2-2.5".

I'm going to be installing the Xlr8 J-pipe tonight, while I'm under the car, I'll measure the distances for the rear sway bar as that is a mod that I'm definitely going to want.

Ok measure the distance between the 2 bolt holes that hold the sway bar up. It should be about 2-2.5 inches.

I measured the distance of the two bolts on either side holding the sway bar and to me it looked like the two bolts were 2 3/4 inches center to center.

Thanks.

Anyone know the size of the factory bar? I had it written down somewhere but I can't find it now.

According to this article: http://vtec.net/articles/view-articl...icle_id=783010

The SH-AWD rear stabilizer bar which I'm assuming is the sway bar, is 20 x 4.5mm tubular

Not sure if it's different in the 6MT though.

24 or 26mm solid, RSB would be a nice , inexpensive way to upgrade the handling, on an already superb AWD system

Are the Tein SS coilovers and Progress RSB overkill?

No I don't think so. It will transform the vehicle to a very capable street car.

I can send the manufacturer a factory bar and have a bar produced but I'd like to have someone go there to have it developed on a vehicle. So we are on the last stage of developing this RSB. I need someone in the Charlotte, NC area (must be willing to travel a couple hours) that will donate their car for rear sway bar development. In exchange you will be give a free rear sway bar and free installation.

Please PM or email me so we can set up a time.
