4G Acura TL (2009) Aftermarket rims and wheel spacers

I recently put new rims on my TL and they needed 5MM wheel spacers so that they dont rub the brake calipers is there any safety issues that i should be worried about with them or any premature wear that can happen? I would prefer people who have experience with them answer.

i ran 25mm spacers on stock wheels. for the most part as long as they're torqued right i didnt' run into any issues.

know that the spacers will excentuate any vibrations

i eventually got rid of them after about 4 months.

I had this issue with my Works on the TL. I actually went with Akata 3mm spacers which was just enough to clear the calipers. There's no issue to worry about anything around 3-5mm. I'd beware of 10mm slip-ons as they cause stress on the factory studs and could potential break under load. Which will result in missing studs and lugs (happen on my old TSX, ended up installing extended studs).

Good luck!

These are the rims i put on, i kept everything OEM except the offset (off by 5mm hence the need for spacers) i kept the tires OEM size 245/45R18 for ride comfort since this is my daily driver. The picture doesn't do it justice looks way better in person. The wheels are perfectly aligned with the body but it looks slightly cambered when you look at it from the rear because of the deep dish rim its a pretty cool optical illusion. My favourite part is that the rims match the paint perfectly and the chrome lip matches the chrome trim on the car. Money well spent in my opinion.
