245/45 R19 on stock 19s rubbing

Question is will 245/45 R19 fit on the Stock 19 rim without rubbing or other problems on 2010 TL Sh-awd? Looking for a softer ride.

That's what I run on mine, a bit more tire and sidewall for the Ohio roads. No issues even with 4 adults in the car.

It will be about an inch taller than stock. The recommend variance is 3% from stock diameter and this will actually place it at 3.51%. Maybe it's not a good idea after all. You could go with a 255/40R19 which would be about a half inch taller and 1.2% off of stock. This is the size that I am currently running.

-OR- Get a set of light 18" wheels and run a good all-season tire. Here is your chance to buy a really nice wheel and get a softer ride. Then if you don't like them you can get rid of them fast here on AZ.

Thank you for the helpful replies. I don't mind a small variance on the speedo. I think of speed limits a useful suggestions at best (Just kidding). I thought it would be fine. I am getting them installed today. I will let you know. The original Michelins give a fantastic steering response but hydroplaning and traction in any inclement weather is totally non existent. I'm going with the Continental DSW for all weather traction and longer thread life.

speedo is off by 2.5mph at 65mph so nothing to worry about, mine were mounted and put on by and Acura dealer so no worries about the 245/45/19

I just wanted to give an update. Had the tires mounted on by Mr. Tire. The ride is much smoother than over bumps and uneven pavement. The ride is slightly quieter then the original michelins. I am now not dreading winter. Amazingly, I also did not loose as much steering feel and tires fit beautifully. However, the car does look a little strange with the higher profile.

I highly suggest looking at these tires as a same size at the OEMs. 19s or 18s.

Agree. 255/40/19 is much closer to the OEM size than the 245/45/19.
