2011 Tire vibration

I have a 2011 base TL with the OEM Bridgestone tires. The dealer (two visits) and a tire shop (one visit) cannot get them to ride smooth. There is an annoying vibration over 110 Km/h that is felt through the floor and the seat. Nothing is felt through the steering wheel.

They have road force balanced them and think that it is not a balance problem. I have Nokian Hakkapeletia on steel rims and they exhibit no vibration. The problem is related to the OEM tires and rims.

The dealer today admitted that they have other TL customers with the same problem.

Has anybody else had this problem and what has Acura done about it?

Bent rim? Are they balancing all 4 tires over again or they just pick n choose which one they thought they should balance over? If they haven't, ask them to rebalance all 4 at the same time

well you only have two suspects.. wheel or tire.. tell them to redo recheck all 4 tires and wheels.

Are they just balancing the tires,or are they actually watching the tires on the balancer? Because you could have a separated tire,or you could have a bent wheel.

I would think that the road force balancing equipment would detect an out-of-round tire/rim. I do note that those tires flat spot on cold days, but they should be worked out after an hour of highway driving.

Next week, they are planning to swap all four tires/rims with a new inventory unit that has Michelins.

I am disappointing with Acura on this. If they were presented with a car that was not charging, they would R&R the alternator no questions asked. Not sure why they are making me and the dealer jump through the hoops with four stinkin' tires.

My 07 TL-S had this issue too and the dealer and discount tire could not solve it. I just got rid of the car eventually so it didn't matter.

My 2012 and 09 both show a slightly one above 80 mph but nothing that bothers me as it is very slight.
