Geez this is the last thing I want to hear... I'm waiting on my fully forged DT-3's which should be done soon.. I decided to go with RonJon based on what majority AZers have said about his work. Mostly all good...

I have a set of Ron's forged wheels... take everything you read on the internet with a large grain of salt. Take a look at my build thread. My setup and the quality speaks for itself.

I've had two sets of RonJon wheels and although I had a slight problem with the first set, Ron was very responsive and made good on it. The second was flawless and his service has been great.

I told him to send me the wheels, he refused. Four wheels (not one or two) were to bubble up and we've never had another set or single wheel do that, makes me require to inspect the wheels in person (our policy for warranty). If they are indeed defective I will even go as far as to ship them back to him on our tab. If they show signs of neglect and do not fail under warranty, then he would have to pay for shipping, and I think this is what prevented him from actually allowing us to inspect them. Pics can only be used to determine certain issues, not all. We have never had another set of Harrows with the same problem to date.

I would have absolutely no issues with warranty if the wheels were sent in for inspection. It is in my best interest to avoid situations liek this and work with the customer making the claim, I know about customer's trying to damage our reputation because they want to write our policy which was designed to protect us from fraudulent claims and is more than fair.

Dude you have to send them in. i had my Avanti racing wheels replaced under warranty, If they are what you say they are then send them in. Ron is not that stupid to send you a set without an inspection. that goes for almost anything in the retail world.

yeah obviously need to send them in. what'd you expect Ron to just send another set of wheels without even taking a look at what was wrong with the first ones you got?

I'll save him the trouble... Like I said, nothing to hide, but there are guidelines to having warranty honored.

So he states they came out the box like this. this member did what i did after Avanti replaced them, I left them on all winter and the salt is eating the clear coat. if you look at the tires in the photos you can see all the muud stuck on the tire.

Raminator, just throw on your OEM wheels and send back the RonJon wheels to Rondy. No matter what wheel you buy, there is no manufacturer who will just hand over a brand new set of wheel, sight unseen.

That is your next step. Rondy has stepped up and posted in your thread. The ball is in your court now.

I don't think any manufacturer would "Warrant" any product after a year of use?? I know Ron would if they came like that straight out of the box but since you used them and stored them multiple factors could have attributed to this issue. If you felt very strongly that this issue was due to poor craftsmanship or quality than you should have had no problem paying the shipping to Ron in order to have them inspected and corrected. I am sure he would be honest if it was a poor finish quality that chipped/peeled he could have righted the situation for you.

That being said its not fair of you to bash an online vendor if you did not give them the proper chance to view and correct the issues (if these issues were the manufacturers fault)

Looking at the pictures it is hard to tell what is going on. Could be rock chips could be poor finish but without visual inspection there is not much a business will do to correct the situation.

i'll chime in on this....

I know Rondy personally... and i bet, if you shipped him the wheels (and the fault was due to storage/conditions) he probably would have refinished them anyway, just to make a customer happy

i got one of the first 4G RJ grilles ever made.... after a long night of installation, i wasnt happy with the alignment. Ron literally invited me into his home the very next day, where we both took the time in his garage to check the fit and finish of the grille, and make sure we got it aligned perfectly..

show me a CEO or business owner, who would do that....

listen, on the other side.. if you dont want to deal with Ron anymore, and local wheel or powdercoating company would be able to strip, and refinish the wheels (maybe to a finish you like better) for a small cost.

just my
