'12 SH-AWD TEch replacement tire recommendations please

Will be needing to replace the factory Michelins on my SH-AWD Tech in the near future and starting my research. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Looking to get a better ride, potentially better mileage without sacrificing performance......

Thank you in advance!

Need more info from you. You want dedicated sets or looking for all seasons?

do you need all season tires or can you go to a summer tire???

I live in so cal - my car never sees snow. I just ordered a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports this week... will post reviews soon. for the money, it's probably the best bang for the buck tire... local costco has a full set installed for $970 out the door.

there are cheaper alternatives..but for the money that is a great deal for such a good tire.

if you need an all season tire, go with the Pilot Sport A/S 3. it is also a great tire. it wont have the dry performance handling of the PSS..but it's an all season tire so you can use it year round if you need all season capabilities.

I am in New York, so I need an all weather solution. I dont want to have to change rims and tires depending on the season. Just looking for a better ride and quieter, with potentially better handling and wear than the originals.....You know, I want it all.....

Unlike the other poster, I'd have to go with Continental DWS. They can go through up to 2 feet of snow and perform pretty well. They need to be high pressure mounted and balanced with a Hunter Roadforce machine to keep the vibrations out! Also you'll have to inflate your tires to 35PSI COLD with the DWS vs the factory tires. This is because they have a slightly softer sidewall and can feel mushy when driving very sportily when they are low on air.

I've had 2 sets on my TL and they have lasted me quite a while!

Also I would recommend the NEW Pirelli P Zero Nero tires, I've heard good things about them!

I purchased the Michelin Premier A/S the beginning of January. Couldn't be happier. A little expensive, but great ride and great traction. I have put about 1000 miles on them and I feel I made the right decision. According to Michelin, these are supposed to get even better wet traction when they get more worn.

I would definitely stay with a high quality tire like Michelin or Good Year or such.

After much researching and price checking I went with the Continental Pure Contact DWS. Found them for a reasonable price and the car drives fantastic with them. They've also got a 70,000 mile treadwear warranty, which was about the best I could find. Definitely quiter than the stock Michelins. Haven't noticed much a difference in mileage but I've only had them on for about 500 miles. Snow traction is pretty impressive too.
