07+ MDX wheels fit.

Don't know if this was posted yet but today at work (work for Acura) we had an 09 TL FWD on the lift with the wheels off. I found an 07 MDX sport wheel laying around (without a tire) and test fit it on the TL. Didn't have my camera with me, but the fit fine, tucked in a little just like the stock wheel. Checked behind the wheel and no rubbing, clearance issues.

So I was thinking, when searching for wheels on the net, I now have been searching for wheels that fit an 07+ MDX.
I have found a few results shopping around at:

I posted this in the rim newbie thread as well...yes, the '07+ MDX Sport wheel would look great on the '09 TL. Although it's a 18 x 8", 5 x 120mm wheel, the only difererence is it's 45mm offset (compared to 55mm for the TL)...which may look better considering it'll extend a tad more from the hub (but as you side, it stil looks OEM by tucking in a little).

I did a quick mock-up of what it would look like...

Looks a little too "chunky" to me. What's wrong with the stock 18" AWD rims?.....looks a lot better to me.

yes they will fit as the TL not longers wear a BBK. this is the problem us RL owners have. I really want to throw the MDX 19'' accessory wheels on my 06 RL but wouldn't clear the frnt BBK. Fellow 4g TL's owners will have this option. very envious

I think the intent of this thread was to give FWD owners an alternative to replace their fugly 17's while still looking OEM. I had a set of these wheels and they're very attractive - the "chrome-look" hypersilver paint looks great on these wheels.

Gotta agree with Pete, YET AGAIN: they look too chunky/heavy/clumsy for my taste.

If that's the case then this thread should be closed because we have two threads already discussing the FUGLY rims of the base TL. :-)

Kinda like it

These are a great improvement over the stock, and with the limited options, it is nice to see a good looking OEM wheel on the FWD TL.
