Just saw it this morning must have crawled out overnight. I'm guessing it's some foam sealant but why would it pop out like that on it's own? Anyone seen this before?

My car is parked outside in the day during business hours and in my garage after work. Average temp. outside is about 88 degrees.

 

I dont see anything on the dash.

I, however, see some sort of green leafy substance on the cowl.

I am Just in space and I approve the use of green leafy substances!

 

Wanna take a sample from my dash and see how it smokes?

 

scrape it off and inspect closer!!

Nope never been replaced. The car is still pretty much brand new little over a year old now. Gonna have to make an appt with the dealer and see what they say.

 

^Agreed. OP, do you have time to take your car into the dealer? If so, you must not have any children.
Looks like this is some sort of foam that got snagged by something and pulled back out of it's proper place. I would use a plastic putty blade to force it back down under the windsheild and call it good.

 

Looks like the sealant form between the dash and the windshield frame some how came loose. Take it to the stealer for warranty work.
