Why the f*** won't my trunk close?

Question Why the f*** won't my trunk close?

Never had this problem before. now my trunk keeps beeping and popping open eveytime i try to close it...

It's a feature that won't allow your trunk to close if the key is in the trunk (or sometimes very close to the trunk).

Do you have your spare key in a bag in the trunk, or anything like that?

This is great!

I did the same thing after a round of golf when I left my keys in my golf bag. Hilarious when it happens to someone else, but I felt like a moron for a good week.

This happened to me when I had my keys in the trunk it wouldn't close. Great feature so you can't accidentally lock it in the car.

This feature was done by Acura after Marty McFly was trapped in the trunk with the car keys in Back to the Future.

i think you can turn the proximity key feature off in the glove compartment if you wish to lock your keys in the trunk..
