Trunk won't open?

Hi,

The trunk of my TL AWD TECH opens with the manual button inside, but the remote trunk button has no response, is something wrong with my remote or this is a configuration issue?

Thanks

It sometimes happens to me too, I never did figure out why it doesn't open sometimes? My work around is hitting the unlock button, then hit the trunk button on FOB and is then it opens.

Wow really? I tried that and it didnt work either, that's so bizarre

Anyone else have similar experience? This is the only issue I'm experiencing so it's no biggie, but still would love to have simple function resolved.

There's also one on the trunk just to the right of the ACURA emblem on the rear spoiler.

I was gonna post a pic for you but Photobucket is down, sorry. On the OUTSIDE of the car, there is another manual button, about a hands length to the right. If you press this while the trunk is open, you can hear the mechanism opening, and you'll know it works, at least manually?

just saw this
Is the trunk open feature turned off?

Check the switch in the glove box. That is a valet feature, if I recall, you lock the glove box with a key and give them the remote only.

that's same for my prob?

Can someone confirm

1) You only get 2 keys , Car 1 + Car 2, each have their own real key for opening glove compartments

2) You can turn off the trunk feature in glove compartment for remote?

If that's the case, my situation is weird as remote does not work for trunk but the actual trunk open button next to fuel/gas is still working. Maybe i need to UNLOCK* it somehow?

Just to cover all bases, when you hit the open trunk button, you do hold the button right?

Glad that was an easy fix. Now go enjoy the car!

A couple things about the trunk from what I've gathered.

1.) The button to the right of the rear camera in the spoiler doesn't work if your car is on. Only the one next to the fuel tank works when that's the case. I'm assuming this is the case with the keyless remote too.
2.) 2 Second thing I didn't really know about but you don't really need it unless someone else is getting stuff from your car since you can just hit that button underneath the spoiler. Makes taking our the keys from your pocket/purse a lot easier anyways.
3.) I'm not sure if you guys know this, a little off topic, I know it comes standard on most upscale cars/SUVs, but if you hold the unlock button when the car is turned off, it opens all windows. Too bad it doesn't close all windows

the actual key will close all the windows and the sunroof.
