Goodspeed

Mortorista previously posted his issues on a 2010 TL manual transmission. I recently purchased a 2013 TL SH-AWD w/ manual, and have experienced the same problem: the transmission will pop or jump out of first at low speeds, during deceleration. This is intermittent, and occurs 2-5 times per week. I've developed the bad habit of keeping my hand on the shifter in stop/go traffic (live in SoCalif.). The Acura service tech. has been unable to replicate my issue, and stated that there are no similar problems noted in their database. In researching the issue, I found AcuraZine's website, and read (with interest) Motorista's post/thoughtful replies (https://acurazine.com/forums/4g-tl-problems-fixes-297/006-manual-trans-pops-out-gear-1st-3rd-758607/) . Question: have others experienced similar problems? I'm a consulting engineer, and understand things don't always go right. I've restored a bunch of Alfa Romeos, raced S4's and S6's and understand the care and feeding of manual transmissions, but would like to break the bad habit of keeping my hand on the transmission, and the annoyance of losing traction in first.
