Torque Converter?

Haven't been on this site for years so am new to issues with the newer TL's. (ran my 2000 TL for 290,000 trouble free miles) Have a '10 (bought new) front wheel drive with 78,000 that has just started what I first thought was a fuel related surging at low speeds (45mph or so, 1300 rpm) in high gear with the converter locked. Seems like the converter is wanting to kick out to allow the rpm's to bump up as you lug along at low rpms. Can watch it on the tach, which is what made me think fuel at first, but now realize it feels like the trans. Is this what has been described as the "judder" in the Service Bulletin 12-029? This bulletin is for the awd only. Has anyone been sucessful at getting it done with the fwd? We only have one Acura dealer in the state so they can treat you however they want. I really hate the thought of having to deal with them but will if it's worthwhile.

i would take it in...you might be out of warranty, but tsb's are covered outside of warranty as well...also if they find something wrong, you can ask them to "good faith" it....

Hey guys, Not sure if this has to do with the torque converter but my car which is an 2011 tl awd/tech, has some vibration issues after the car has passed the 5th gear. After the gear changes to 5, the rpm drops to about 1500 and theres a vibration that can be felt as your driving along. is that normal?

Go to your dealer and ask for the Software Update which is solving this problem.
