TCC Solenoid help
TCC Solenoid help
I'm hoping for a little assistance, my 09 base TL gave a P0741 code about a week ago along with the "check emissions system" warning. I looked it up and it is pointing to the Torque converter clutch solenoid, I have searched and searched for a diagram to give me an exact location but I can't find anything. Does anyone have a picture or can describe where its at?
I plan to change the solenoid and do a 3x3 change and see if that does anything, if not am I looking at a new Torque Converter? Any other inexpensive things I can try before putting it in the shop? I appreciate any help you guys can offer.

There could be a bunch of things causing the issue; check your trans fluid level and oil level first. When is the last time you changed the fluid for trans? Have you noticed any slipping or whining or hard shifts from the trans?
Oil is good, trans fluid is topped off, changed about 20k ago so its close to needing a change anyway. No whining and I only get a hard shift once in a blue moon and I've always chalked it up to the TC issues that these cars are known for.
