I'm looking to buy a new oem wind deflector... mine is cracked from weather i'm guessing. Is the swap straight forward, or do i need to get it done somewhere? It looks like it would be pretty simple... not sure if it needs sealant or whatever... i suck with cars

Find it on ebay. Its very simple, takes all of 5 minutes! no sealant. You tighten screws that pushes rubber tight on roof.

Easy peasy. No sealant and takes no time. Just set it in place first with the screws and hardware then tighten everything down after it's in place. Do not overtighten the screws.

 

Is the sunroof deflector an Acura part, or an aftermarket part?

you want to stick with Acura OEM IMO. i dont have one on my 2012 TL, but i have one on my 05 TL, and i put it on in about 10 minutes. not difficult at all. not sure i have seen one on a '12 yet, but i am looking. my twelve is AWD Advance, black with tinted windows and a n aftermarket back window spoiler, so i think adding the wind deflector might be overkill. good luck with the install.
