Steering Wheel rattle

It seems like people have been getting this problem recently so I just started a thread.

My steering wheel has been rattling for about a month now. When I hit a bump, no matter how small, it rattles. It's not loud but it's definitely there.
So about a week ago, I went to the dealer to have my 2nd speaker changed and got them to check out the steering wheel. It was weird but it didn't rattle that day.. so I'm going back to have it checked again sometime soon.

Anyone else?

What kind of noise is it? Tinny or low frequency?

i got the rattle (so does my dad). we both have the 09 TL.

its a tinny rattle sound. usually apparent when you first turn on the engine after a cold start and start driving. very noticeable when accelerating, and maybe a few bumps here and there. I am def getting this checked out because it is freaking annoying. for my dad, it has been getting louder and louder, so i think something isnt screwed on tight behind the wheel.

The ratting is low but it sounds like plastic that's out of place. Maybe something isn't screwed on tight. Getting it checked out next week.

I've had that rattle for about two months now and it's just getting annoying. The only problem is i cant exactly pinpoint where the noise is coming from. I also have a 09 TL

i have the rattle you are talking about and apparently found out where it is originating and how to fix. there are plastic covers underneath the steering wheel that click in - you can tap them while driving underneath the center towards the bottom of the steering wheel or parked and with your head somewhat underneath. i actually found this out myself and reported to the dealer - showed them, they confirmed, removed and installed a thin layer of felt adhesive which appears to have minimized this by say 75%. This is good enough for now as it is 30 degrees and will most likely disappear as the weather gets warm. if not, more felt i guess. hope this helps.

I have the rattle as well....I have pin pointed it to the two aluminum looking trim pieces on the steering wheel that but up against the buttons on the steering wheel....if I put pressure on those pieces the rattle goes away...

now, how to fix?
