Steering Wheel Alignment Issue - Help

Since the day I purchased the car I notice that my steering wheel is slightly off centre to the right a bit, and more noticeable when doing speeds of 80+ KMH.

The first dealer said its the crown on the road so it does this, my own dealership I purchased from did a full alignment for me and no luck.

Its kind of annoying as its noitceable to me, and if I centre the steering wheel the car will drift to the left a little, is there anything else I can ask them to do to get this fully centred 100%?

Could they have done maybe a tire alignment or something and not a steering wheel alignment?

Please let me know if anyone else has had this or noticed this and what I should ask my dealer to do. They are willing to see it again and cover it again under warranty for me.

Exact same thing happened to me. Crooked wheel but the car drives straight as an arrow. That's why the alignment done by the dealer you bought from reveals nothing abnormal. I know they like to push the "crown of the road" excuse on you so I did some testing before bringing it in and and I let them know it's not the crown in the road.

Find a nice straight 3 lane road and drive the center lane. Make sure the crown peaks in the middle lane as some roads are not built that way. Get the car to track straight, temporarily ignoring the position of the wheel. Let go and the car should track straight for 6 seconds or more. That's the criteria Acura uses - 6 seconds as told to me by the Tech. If it tracks straight and the wheel is crooked then it's a tie rod/linkage issue.

They can easily adjust that and they did correct it for me under warranty. Don't accept the crown on the road reason until they tried it themselves. Better yet, make them ride with you and prove it to them. I hate it when they just throw out an answer w/o even touching the car.

So after the tie/rod fix, the steering wheel was 100% straight for you going forward?

Is this a quick easy fix? I am going again in about 10 days to get it checked and will mention the exact thing you got fixed.

Well, to be honest, it is 10x better but it's still slighty off to the other side (over compensate) - I think. But it could be road imperfections. Bottom line is I am satisfied and the buttons are level on both sides. If I were to put a percentage - 99%.

I don't know how long it takes as the car was in for a bunch of other new car issues - noise, defective passenger visor, rusty rotors, etc.
