SRS Message
SRS Message
I have a 2009 Acura TL and this morning the SRS warning was on with SRS codes 41-1, 41-2, and 42-1. So, I turned the car off and back on and they were still there...so i did it again and the message didn't come back. So, as of right now the SRS error indicator is not on and everything looks normal.
A couple questions:
1) If the SRS indicator is not on, does that mean everything is working as expected?
2) If the SRS indicator is on, does that mean all airbags are disabled or just the modules for the given codes?
Thanks!

I talked to another guy at the Acura dealer and he said if there's something sitting on the passengers seat that is less than 40 pounds, it can cause this warning.
But, now i'm thinking it was my battery because I took it to get the oil changed and they said the battery is bad. So, justnspace might have the correct answer.
Either way it hasn't come back so I'm not going to worry about it.

If you aren't getting the warning, you system is good. If the warning light is on, some or all of your SRS system has been disabled. Sounds like you might want to get yourself a new battery -
