Squeaking after I get into the TL...

This is something relatively new that has started the past few weeks:

After I unlock the TL and get into the driver's seat, many times I can hear an initial little "squeak," very similar to a squeaking mattress spring when one plops onto bed. It sounds like it's coming from the rear drivers area.

Has anyone heard this sound before? What could it be from?

I'll give you my standard response for noises coming from the back of the car:

Release the hostage from the trunk.

I am just guessing here... are you using your hand brake when you park the car or just putting into "P" without pulling the hand brake? If you aren't using your hand brake often then chances are the rear caliper hand brake mechanism has rusted, thus the squeak. Just a guess...

My TL is a 6 MT; whenever I park the car I always shift the gear to 1st (or R), and then I pull the hand brake.
