Rough paint finish

Rough paint finish

hi,guys. I just bought 2009,3.7 sh awd .I find that the paint feels like sand paper,compare to my 97 ,tl. Any advise on how to get it smooth? Thanks.

Paulo, it sounds like your car needs a thorough cleaning. It needs to be washed, claybarred, paint corrected, polished and sealed/waxed.

You've got good paint under there. It's just hiding.

find a local detailer.. make sure you check out their work before handing the car over to them.. some detailers do hack jobs..

i find that people that do detailing as a side job tend to do the best work.. but thats just here in cali..

Paulo,are you in Ontario (Markham)? there is a good guy on this forum (Wes) up in Scarborough.Look through the forum and see if you find him,if not i'll check for you later,running off to work.He will get your car back to showroom condition.

Just use some sandpaper, haha j/k!

If you don't want to shell out money then I would do as Steven B said. The clay bar process should really help the feel of the finish.
